Chapter Philanthropy and Service
Our chapter has created new and exciting ways pertaining to service and philanthropy events
- We have volunteered at the Rogers Center For The Arts for their frozen sing-along event. We had sisters dress up as Disney characters for the kids.
- Our Philanthropy chair has planned the Mr. ZTA event, where students compete for the Mr. ZTA crown. All the proceeds go to the ZTA Foundation, supporting Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.
- We also host our annual ThinkPink! Auction, this is our biggest event of the year and the previous years have been a great success.
- We also participate in Relay For Life on campus at our yearly relay event. In addition, we participate in the Mack Gives Back! event on campus, a yearly service event hosted on campus where we come together to assist in packaging meals that will benefit local communities of North Andover, MA, and Lawrence, MA.
- In the past we have put on 5k runs & more!
- Participated in Making Strides in Concord, NH as volunteers for the event
- Think Pink merchandise drives
Our Bigger Philanthropy Events!
Auction: Our biggest philanthropy event that was brought back after COVID-19 in November 2023 by then VP4, Gabrielle Chase! Family and friends were invited to join our sisters in a night of fundraising and bringing awareness to Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Each girl created an auction basket that was either raffled or bidded on. Olivia Snow's (graduated 2023) mother, a survivor of Breast Cancer, was invited to speak and share her experience as a survivor. All of the proceeds fundraised through this event were donated all to the ZTA Foundation and is then further given to Breast Cancer Education and Awareness.
Think Pink Week: A week-long fundraising event in October where girls table and fundraise money for our philanthropy! Tabling events in the past have included Crumbl Cookies, Pink Lemonade, Pie a Zeta, and ZTA Wristbands, pens, and stress balls! We have also begun partnering with our dining hall, Sparky's Place, for Think Pink-themed dinners that have included Pink Pancakes, Shirley Temples, and Pink Desserts!
Pink-the-Rink: In 2023 we hosted a Pink-the-Rink event in collaboration with Merrimack Athletics. Girl's tabled outside Lawler Rink and sold wristbands, stress balls, and pens with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Merrimack D1 Men's Ice Hockey team wore pink Breast Cancer Ribbon stickers on their helmets during the game, and MC Band and MC Figure Skating also showed their support with hair bows and our Think Pink ribbon pins! Shoutout to Sophie Stetson and Kirsten Carlson!
